What's everybody's favorite part of the match? The SHOOT-OFFS! But how many times
have you been able to participate? Well you don't have to be a Top-16 finisher to
play our game. This match is 100-percent shoot-offs for everyone! It s been said,
"...this is the best pistol match in the world."
Dear 2008 Competitor,
The 15th annual match promises to be the best of all! It will be jointly sponsored
by STI,International and American Handgunner Magazine. Each year the STI-American
Handgunner® World Shoot-off Championship® keeps improving and part of the reason
is that we listen to you, the shooters. This is the most unique match on the shooting
circuit. There is more shooting and more events than any other match in the world,
as well as great camaraderie and a gorgeous part of the world for a family vacation.
There are even camping facilities onsite. Choose your category, open auto, stock
auto, open revolver, stock DA revolver, IDPA or cowboy SA revolver-there is a place
for you! Some bring 3000 to 4000 rounds and shoot all of it!! Remember there is
free open practice all week on designated ranges! Bring lots of ammo or UPS it "ground"
for those flying in.
Over the past 25 years American Handgunner Magazine has supported all shooting sports
- as well as this match for 15 years. If you are not currently a subscriber, please
subscribe and support those who support you.
Don't forget- the Winchester World Challenge winners were paid cash payouts of $409.50
for 1st Open and $409.50 for 1st Stock D and $315.00 for 1st Stock B. Winchester
also provides cash to the winners of each category. It's a great warm-up, you have
fun and win cash! For safety reasons, the minimum bullet weight will be 115 GR.
Velocity will be 1,200 FPS maximum and NO HOLLOW POINTS due to splatter.
Refer to the entry form for the many, many shoot-offs in addition to the Grande Finale.
